This box is a beautifully Khatam crafted box that can be used for jewelry and ornaments. In addition to placing jewelry from this box, it can also be used to place small chocolates on the reception desk. The inside of the box is made of wood and has a cap that is fitted to the body in accordance with the design. Khatam or Khatamkari (Persian inlaying) is the art of decorating the level of objects with small triangle like mosaics. Various designs are to put together all kinds of wood, metal and bone. This art has flourished in Iran, specially in Shiraz and Esfahan about 400 years old.
