General Definition: Meenakari (Minakari) is the art of colorings and ornamenting the surface of metals by fusing over it brilliant colors that are decorated in an intricate design. Mina is the feminine form of Minoo in Persian, meaning heaven. Mina refers to the Azure color of heaven. Enamel working and decorating metals with colorful and baked coats is one of the distinguished courses of art in Isfahan. Mina is defined as some sort of glass like colored coat which can be stablished by heat on different metals particulary copper.
Special Definition: This plate has more jagged and some colors and different designs, like slimy, traditional and wall forms. This plate with big designs and the diagonal is about 30cm is one of the best samples of Iranian traditional hand crafted product. In making this plates, used more the blue and cream colors, which are have the beautiful look. The base of this work is of copper and the surface is prominent form. These plates are made especially for decoration and have the decorative aspect.
